LAcon V offers a variety of different options for attendance in, and participation in, the 84th World Science Fiction Convention.  These options are as follows:

Full Attending Membership allows you to attend all onsite events and online programming for the full convention period. This membership includes both the WSFS Membership and an Attending Supplement. This is the standard membership selection for anyone wishing to attend the entire convention in person.

WSFS-Only Membership is all that is required to become a member of LA con V.  This membership gives you WSFS rights, but does not include the right to participate in any convention activities.  

Note: A WSFS Membership is included in all the "Full Attending Memberships" offered OR can be upgraded to one of the other types with an additional payment at a later date.   The WSFS Membership is non-transferable.  

Online Membership (coming in 2026) will allow you to attend any offered online programming only. This membership includes a WSFS Membership and an Online Supplement.

Single-Day Tickets (coming in 2026) will allow you to attend in person for a single day (or multiple days, if you purchase multiple tickets). Day tickets do not include a WSFS Membership or rights.

  • Adults 25 years of age and older at time of convention.
    Includes both the WSFS Membership and the Attending Supplement

  • Adults 25 years of age and older at time of convention, who have never been to a Worldcon before.
    Includes both the WSFS membership and the Attending Supplement

  • Ages 18 - 24 at time of convention.
    Includes both the WSFS Membership and the Attending Supplement

  • Ages 13 -17 at time of the convention.
    Includes both the WSFS Membership and the Attending Supplement.

  • Provides WSFS rights, but does not include the right to participate in any convention activities.

  • Ages 6 - 12 at time of convention.

  • Ages up to 5 years at time of convention. Only allowed with the purchase of an adult registration (please do not select this as the first registration on your record.) All children, no matter the age, MUST be registered through this process, so we can provide child care services.

Purchase Protection

As a benefit of our registration service provider, LAcon V is happy to offer Purchase Protection as an optional add-on to all United States residents buying tickets to our event. Purchase Protection is not insurance, but instead, an optional service allowing you peace of mind should you be prohibited from attending due to a covered reason.

If you elect to purchase this option and have a situation that prevents your attendance at the convention, you will deal directly with Purchase Protection on your claim, including submitting the appropriate documentation to them. We strongly recommend you review their terms at https://www.purchaseprotection.com/terms/ to understand exactly what is covered, and what you will need to provide when submitting a claim. 

LAcon V is not involved in your transaction with Purchase Protection, and cannot intercede in ANY way on your behalf.  We will NOT provide any refund directly from the convention, for any reason.

Purchase Protection is available for United States residents ONLY.  You will not be able to complete your transaction if your registration address is outside the US.  Purchase Protection is billed separately; it does not show up in the "current total" amount above the Billing Information below.

By purchasing your Membership(s) for LAcon V, you consent to abide by all rules and regulations as noted at Convention Policies

Furthermore, you acknowledge your understanding and consent to the following:

LAcon V does NOT issue refunds to customers directly for any reason. You may choose to enable Purchase Protection during the purchase of your tickets; if you have an emergency or other covered situation that prevents you from attending, you will need to file a claim with Purchase Protection and deal with them directly. LAcon V will not intercede in any way on your behalf.

Only the Attending or Online Supplement portions of a membership can be transferred to different parties. All transfers must be process through [email protected] .

LAcon V will follow California, Orange County and City of Anaheim's recommendations for public health, as well as our own counsel, on the best way to manage event safety; these MAY include testing or other requirements, including the use of face masks, entirely at our discretion. We will make a determination near the time of the convention as to whether any public health accommodations are required; compliance with our event's posted requirements is the responsibility of every ticket holder/attendee, and your disagreement with these requirements is NOT grounds for any refund.
